A Welcome Return for Chef Rob Lamont
At Oxton Bar & Kitchen, food has always been about keeping things fresh and homemade; the best quality, local & fresh ingredients, quality produce and dishes we’re proud to make from scratch.
Our returning head chef Rob Lamont, who was here when the kitchen was a sweat box that you’d struggle to swing a cat in, has now come back to a 150k kitchen refurb and is serving beautiful fresh food. He puts his own touch on everything, including making our own breads and all sauces freshly made in house.
Robs’ passion for food is really shown through his love of cooking; it’s the little things that make the difference – for example watching him slow roast tiger prawn shells on the pass, with garlic and bay to make our own shellfish oil – to add that extra flavour.

We work closely with trusted & respected local suppliers; Scotts Butchers, Nichols Ice cream, Sailbrand, Harvey & Brockless and Oliver Perry, all delivering fresh daily ingredients.
Our menus evolve throughout the year, with changing specials, seasonal ingredients and chef-created dishes appearing regularly alongside the OBK classics that our customers know and love.

Birthdays at the OBK
If you are celebrating a birthday we can provide cakes upon request, we will be able to make up anything you like.
We require one weeks notice, prices start at £35, serving 8, but any special requests/designs or larger cakes prices will vary.

OBK Sunday Roast
One of the best on the Wirral, every Sunday 12-8pm we serve a fixed price ‘table d’hote’ Sunday roast menu, with our Roast beef rib-eye, alongside a guest meat & vegetarian option which varies every week.
